Security Assistant (Part-Time)
RiverTech is searching for a Security Assistant to support our customer at the Joint Staff Security Office South (JSSO – South) Norfolk at the Joint Staff NH-95 Building on Norfolk Naval Air Station (NAS). This position ensures Visitor Control access and entrance into bldg. NH-95 is maintained 24/7 and ensures other Joint Staff controlled space accesses are secured by mechanical locks (e.g. X Series combination locks) and protected by the Electronic Access Control System (EACS). **Responsibilities** + Ensures Visitor Control access into Bldg. NH-95 and maintain 24/7 security. + Ensures Joint Staff controlled space accesses are secured by mechanical locks (e.g. X Series combination locks) and protected by the Electronic Access Control System (EACS). + Conducts after hours and/or weekend patrols of all SCIF and open storage areas under JS control within bldg. NH-95 until IDS condition returns to normal monitoring. + Monitors IDS alarms at NH-95 24/7 and at NH-19 between the hours of 1700 - 0700 Monday through Friday and 24 hours per day on weekends and federal holidays. + Respond to Naval Support Activity alarm inquiries as applicable. + Creates and provides Security Blotter to the Joint Staff Security Office Physical Security division of daily shift activities at the NH-95. **Qualifications** + Minimum two (2) years of relevant work experience. + Must possess a working knowledge of the U.S. Government Security Programs (Physical Security program which includes electronic security systems, Physical Access control, Video Surveillance, and intrusion detection). + High School Diploma or GED. + Active SECRET Security Clearance. **Desired Qualifications:** + Prior experience with LENEL system is desired. **Job ID** 2025-15957 **Work Type** On-Site **Company Description** **Work Where it Matters** RiverTech, an Akima company, is not just another federal professional solutions contractor.
