Security Assurance Manager

Job Overview  

To act as the security, health & safety advisor for the contract  To support the operational management teams in the delivery of effective site Assignment Instructions and Risk Assessments to ensure the onsite team have a full understanding and are competent to deliver the requirements  Responsibility for the completion of assessments of high-risk sites as identified by the client and the Crime & Intelligence team and delivery of associated reports to mitigate risk  Review and support implementation of strategic direction, policy and systems in relation to Health, Safety and Security.  Completion of the physical threat vulnerability risk assessments across the estate and delivery of executive summary reports to present findings/recommendations  Fully understand the client's security audit process and support the delivery of practices that will deliver adherence to said audit 

 

Main duties 

Conduct physical security risk assessments and vulnerability reviews across the portfolio including:  Conducting physical penetration tests   Live scenario training and exercising  Build a robust security culture through:  Developing and delivering a security audit/testing framework across the national portfolio  Cultivating and owning security training programmes and best practices for the onsite team, including the production of SOPs, toolbox style talks, table-top exercises, training sessions, and security awareness.  Continuously improve security through identifying, supporting and/or leading and facilitating changes to scope for security mitigations including systems and security guarding  Developing security strategy and procedures in support of business operations.  Supporting any incident investigations and implementing lessons learnt  Drive evaluation and improvement cycle for security  Assisting in security planning for known future events or emerging threats  Form networks partnerships and access best practice from the Mitie Assurance Manager community and security industry  Act as a conduit for collaborative working between service partners 

 

Health and Safety responsibilities  

Always follow Group and company policies and procedures.  Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment.  Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.  Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system. 

 

 Information Security  

Ensure compliance with Mitie's information security procedures in all activities.  Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager.  Report actual and suspected security incidents.  

 

What are we looking for?  

Ideally be PSP qualified but must have security management experience  Proven capacity for security assurance design, development and delivery  Previous experience in delivering standards auditing and operational readiness exercises  Established expert in team training, change management, development and mentoring  Demonstrable capability to concept, produce and maintain improvement plans
