In this role you will:

Be responsible for providing security services that support the overall safety of the facility. The primary goal of this position is to provide monitoring and oversight at the facility that contributes towards a safe and clean environment for clients, staff and visitors.

• Provides daily scheduled runs and notes observations in communications log.

• Observes activity and traffic in assigned areas.

• Assists with morning wake-up of clients.

• Assists with scheduled evacuation/fire drills.

• Inspects and adjusts security systems and equipment such as monitors.

• Escorts individuals to specified location within site.

• Handles crisis interventions with clients as needed including diffusing physical altercations.

• Circulates among site to preserve order and protect agency property.

• Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities needing attention.

• Participates in daily searches of client lockers.

• Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure at site.

• Responds to calls requesting assistance.

• Warns clients of rules infractions or violations.

• Operates detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of weapons or other

prohibited items into agency sites.

• Performs other duties as required.

 

What qualifications do you need?

High School Diploma or GEDOne year of prior Security Guard/Officer experience preferred
