A Dispatch Officer is very importantto the safety and security of our clients’ facilities. A Dispatch Officer allows us to accomplish our company’s core purpose, which is “to serve, secure and care for the people and businesses in our communities”.The Dispatch officer will be a key contributor to the security operations team in the event of a crisis situation that would threaten the safe and secure business operations. This could include, but is not limited to: natural disasters, workplace violence, facility emergencies, fire and issues of serious injury or illness. As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for the receiving, evaluating and dispatching of emergency services such as; police, fire and medical services as well as responding to calls for general information, Must possess basic knowledge of phone, radio and computer, Handle and emergency calls for police, fire or Emergence Medical Services, Ensure that tasks are completed on time; handle multiple demands for commitment of time, energy, and resources, Detail-oriented skills, ability to quickly identify, crimes and suspects through use of CCTV, Perform dispatch duties, such as controlling access, monitoring CCTV, answering and routing telephone calls, notifying key plant personnel to visitors or problems, as warranted, Maintain written logs as required by the post, Clerical and administrative duties to including but not limited to filing, data entry and transferring phone calls.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalentPossess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective mannerLicensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employmentWork experience must include of the following:Demonstrated analytic and critical thinking skills and ability to prepare reportsAbility to prioritize workload based on urgencyDemonstrated high level of competency with advanced computer systems (e.g., hardware, software, and networks)Ability to communicate effectively with IT and Security Systems professionalsDemonstrated ability to operate radio, telephone equipment and/or console monitorsAbility to adapt in a dynamic work environment while possibly working under pressureDisplay exceptional customer service and communication skillsAbility to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficientlyAbility to interact cordially and communicate with the publicAllied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
