THE JOB:
Join Our Team as a Security Dispatcher at Park MGM! As a Security Dispatcher, you’ll be the central communication hub for our Security Department, managing radio and phone messages while ensuring smooth operations. This fast-paced role requires quick thinking, excellent multitasking, and the ability to make informed decisions, especially in emergencies. THE STARTING RATE: $22 an hour
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Monitor Security Systems: Continuously observe cameras, access controls, and alarm panels to identify and respond to potential threats in a timely manner.
Coordinate Response Teams: Direct and guide security officers in responding to incidents, emergencies, and requests, ensuring prompt and effective action throughout the property.
Global Security Coordination: Maintain ongoing communication with the Global Security Operations Center for seamless support.
Operate Communication Equipment: Utilize radios and telephones to relay crucial information between security teams, management, and other departments.
Accurate Record Keeping: Log incidents, emergencies, and security activities in real-time to ensure detailed and clear reporting.
Emergency Protocols: Follow established procedures during emergencies, including fires, medical situations, or active threats, and coordinate with local authorities.
Liaison with External Agencies: Collaborate with law enforcement, EMS, and other agencies during emergencies, providing essential information and support.
Dispatch and Service Calls: Manage security or lost-and-found service calls, resolve issues promptly, and ensure guest satisfaction by coordinating with necessary departments.
Assist in Investigations: Retrieve relevant video footage to aid in investigations and ensure accurate identification of key evidence for review.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Age: Must be 21 years of age or older.
Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Background: Previous experience in security, military, or law enforcement preferred.
Customer Service: Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with guests and team members.
Emergency Preparedness: Ability to participate in evacuation procedures to assist guests and employees during emergencies.
Equipment Proficiency: Capable of operating assigned security equipment effectively.
Training Requirement: Candidates must successfully complete a security dispatch training course.
