Job Purpose: Manages Emergency Medical activities and staff and drafts and edits security department policies and procedures Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time) + Ensures efficiency of security emergency medical operations by reviewing, monitoring, and assigning staff schedules for adequate emergency medical coverage, submitting time and attendance documentation to appropriate personnel, monitoring records of certification, notifying staff members of pending expirations, researching, developing, and implementing training programs, coordinating and scheduling CPR, Quality Assurance, Automated External Defibrillator, and Combitude classes, measuring training effectiveness, developing effective measuring tests and or tools, analyzing test results, and recommending and implementing appropriate modifications to training activities, attending San Diego County Emergency Medical Services meetings, and keeping abreast of training, protocol and EMT procedure up-dates. - 50% + Provides Emergency Medical Technicians with equipment and supplies by reviewing existing equipment, researching medical equipment and supply options, contacting and evaluating vendors, recommending up-to date-options to Security Director based on findings, ensuring adequate availability of inventory, distributing equipment and supplies as needed, and maintaining security of records and of stock on hand. - 20% + Maintains accurate medical and incident reports by documenting an account of all incidents, creating monthly statistical reports, analyzing incident frequency, identifying measures to eliminate like incidents, arranging Critical Incident Stress Debriefings as needed, and forwarding medical and incident reports to appropriate personnel following established procedures. - 20% + Hires and develops Emergency Medical Technicians by communicating staffing needs and advertisements to Human Resources, scheduling, interviewing, and hiring best qualified applicants, monitoring team member performance, conducting performance appraisals, and providing counseling, training, and guidance as needed. - 10% Job Specifications: Education and Experience: Essential: + High School Diploma or G.E.D. + 5 years Emergency Medical Technician experience + 5 years security operations experience + 2 years supervisory experience + Current Emergency Medical Technician Certificate + Current Pulmonary Resuscitation Certificate Desirable: + POST certification + Law enforcement experience + Training experience Skills and Knowledge: Essential: + In-depth understanding of Emergency Medical Services procedures and protocols + Ability to apply knowledge and make sound judgments + Ability to provide guidance and leadership to staff members + Ability to communicate effectively with diverse team member population + Ability to communicate effectively in the English language + Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks and assignments + Ability to perform data entry assignments + Ability to complete forms, documents, and written reports + Ability to understand and follow verbal directives and written directions + Ability to maintain professionalism and composure + Ability to compose written documents in the English language + Ability to maintain confidentiality + Ability to accept constructive criticism + Excellent record-keeping skills + Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel If you enjoy being part of a community dedicated to creating a memorable guest experience, we invite you to explore career opportunities with Sycuan and join our winning team!
