Maintain safe and secure facilities and grounds for the protection of guests and employees according to the company policies and procedures in adherence to state and federal regulations.

Job Description:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Routinely perform foot, vehicle, ski, and mountain bike patrols throughout Giants Ridge reporting unsafe conditions, and security issues.Respond to all emergency and security operations at Giants Ridge and work with appropriate law enforcement agencies as directed.Conduct investigations concerning thefts, suspicious incidents, fraudulent pass use, and prepares incident reports as required.Maintain awareness of mountain safety issues, and report them immediately to the manager.Partner with or notify the local Patrol/Risk Manager when safety concerns ariseMonitor and ensure guests have a valid pass.Have knowledge of the amenities of Giants Ridge to assist guests with questions and directions

SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma/G.E.D. required. Valid driver’s license.First Aid/CPR preferred.Ability to ski or snowboard preferred.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit.Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 25 lbs. regularly, 30-35 lbs. frequently, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.Ability to stand for the entire work day.    Withstanding temperature extremes and inclement outdoor weather. Physical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties.
