Best Buy Co. has an opening for a Security Engineer – Attack Surface Management position at its corporate headquarters in Richfield, Minnesota. This position provides a telecommuting benefit allowing the employee to reside anywhere in the continental United States. Responsible for enhancing and executing the ASM Team’s technical risk management capabilities to better manage vulnerabilities and secure configurations. Enhance and automate ASM tooling. Optimize team process execution. Build, expand, and execute cloud and containerization ASM capabilities. Perform risk assessments and execute tests of data processing system to ensure functioning of data processing activities and security measures. Serve as a subject matter expert for ASM cloud initiatives, while coordinating with other cloud security and engineering teams to integrate capabilities. Identify opportunities to improve system security and the related solutions. Assist in developing team future-state vision and maturity roadmaps. Design and create solutions to enhance team capabilities and efficiency. Document computer security and emergency measures policies, procedures, and tests. Lead lower-level employees on design implementation. Identify and address vulnerabilities and insecure configurations. Act as a technical and operational mentor. Establish frequent and ongoing collaboration with senior leadership. Influence and contribute to team strategic planning. There are multiple openings for this position. Requires Master’s degree or equivalent foreign degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or Computer Science. Position requires at least 3 years of experience in infrastructure/cloud/security engineering. At least 2 years of this experience must include: (1) working with cloud service provider platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP); (2) experience in technical process automation. The pay ranges from $124,571/year to $144,102/year.
