DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Develop, implement, and refine solutions and peer review code to ensure a high standard of delivery in partnership with engineers. Develop distributed system designs and micro-service architectures. Develop object-oriented software development standards and best practices. Contribute to software development training and implementation. Own design and development of prototypes, proofs of concept, and reference models for shared security controls. Provide consulting to internal customers on matters related to securing the Firm applications. Support the standards and controls in the department’s purview. Research complex technical topics and provide professional white papers and knowledge transfer. Support the platform development project security concerns.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Automation, Computer Science/Programming, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as: Security Engineer, Software Development Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Automation, Computer Science/Programming, Engineering, Mathematics or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Security Engineer, Software Development Engineer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Java or Python; Agile; task tracking frameworks such as Scrum; software maintenance; operations activities using monitoring and automation solutions; security fundamentals, including: cryptography, modern memory safety, operating system internals, and web services security; security threats, including: cloud security, operating system/hypervisor security, and application security, and the shared responsibility model

Full-Time. Salary: $175,000 - $185,000 per year.
