Security Engineer

Description We are offering an opportunity for a Security Engineer to join our team in the non-profit sector in New York, New York. The role will focus on developing and implementing comprehensive information security strategies, conducting vulnerability analyses, designing security policies, and managing security technologies.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement a detailed information security strategy to protect our organization's information assets.
• Perform comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential threats and devise appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Conduct regular security audits and assessments to ensure adherence to established security policies and protocols.
• Monitor for security incidents and breaches, and promptly respond to mitigate their impact.
• Manage security technologies such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems to safeguard our information assets.
• Implement and configure security technologies such as Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, and AWS Technologies.
• Utilize cloud technologies and firewall technologies to enhance our organization's security posture.
• Maintain a strong understanding of Cisco Technologies and Cyber Security to effectively manage security risks.
• Conduct AB testing to evaluate the effectiveness of our security measures and make necessary adjustments.
• Regularly audit our security measures to ensure they are up-to-date and effective in protecting our organization's information assets. Requirements • Possession of strong knowledge and experience in Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, and Cisco Technologies.
• Proficiency in Cloud Technologies and Firewall Technologies is essential.
• Familiarity with AB Testing and Auditing is required.
• Experience with AWS Technologies and Configuration Management is highly desirable.
• Must have a solid background in Cyber Security.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively relay security issues to non-technical team members.
• Must demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) would be advantageous.
• Willingness to stay updated with the latest industry trends, threats, and security measures.
