Description
We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Security Engineer in Sterling Heights, Michigan. The prospective candidate will be joining our Service industry team and will be entrusted with the design, implementation, and management of our information security program. This role will require strategic thinking, adaptability, and strong communication skills to ensure the protection of our digital infrastructure, customers, and business partners.
Responsibilities:
• Develop a comprehensive security strategy that is tailored to the needs of the organization and aligns with enterprise-level initiatives.
• Adapt and scale security practices to meet the demands of a growing organization.
• Build strong relationships with leadership to address emerging threats and foster a culture of continuous improvement in security practices.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate security into everyday operations.
• Establish processes to identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks.
• Design and deliver training and awareness programs to ensure adherence to security policies across the company.
• Implement monitoring programs and tools to effectively detect and respond to threats.
• Lead incident response initiatives and refine protocols based on lessons learned and stakeholder feedback.
• Stay ahead of emerging threats and trends, educating leaders and driving a proactive approach to security enhancements.
• Leverage skills in Firewall Technologies, IDS, IPS, Active Directory, Auditing, Authentication, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, Security Infrastructure, Network Infrastructure, Cybersecurity compliance, VMware, Cloud Technologies, and Security frameworks.
Requirements
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the Information Security field
• Expertise in Azure and Windows Servers
• Proficiency in Firewall Technologies
• Demonstrated knowledge of IDS and IPS
• Familiarity with Active Directory
• Experience in Auditing processes and Authentication methods
• Strong understanding of Computer Software and Hardware
• Proven ability in Configuration Management
• Skills and experience with various security frameworks, experience developing and maintaining Security Infrastructure
• Experience in managing Network Infrastructure
• Knowledge of Cybersecurity standards and compliance requirements
• Proficiency in using VMware
• Experience with Cloud Technologies
• Certifications such as CISM, CISSP, CISA, or CGEIT are preferred
