Complies with set Policies and Procedures (i.e. name tag, dress code, parking, smoking, etc.) Ensures that the security policies and procedures as they relate to patients, hospital personnel and visitors are followed. Follows established inspection schedules of facility to ensure security and safety practices are maintained and update daily log sheets as appropriate. Guards GCRMC property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry. Patrols, periodically, buildings and grounds of physical plant, docks and area work site. Examines doors, windows and gates to determine that they are secure. Warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles, and apprehends or expels violators. Inspects equipment and machinery to ascertain if tampering has occurred. Watches for and reports irregularities, such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked. Observes departing personnel to guard against theft of company property. Permits authorized persons to enter property. A combination of directly related training and/or experience is typically required for carrying out the responsibilities for this job.
