Security Guard

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Contract Security Guard (CSG) will provide critical security functions including static installation access control, static perimeter security, roving patrols, operate the Integrated Electronic Security System (IESS) or perform any other security related functions associated with the protection of the Communications Site, existing materials, property, and personnel. This role involves armed security duties at a U.S. Department of Defense installation located outside the continental United States (OCONUS). Responsibilities include conducting entry control, tower surveillance, patrols, vehicle and personnel searches, bag screening, reporting, and incident management in accordance with the contract. Security Guards will also provide updates and status reports; write spot reports and incident reports, as necessary.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform access control, personnel, and vehicle screening including searching of individual hand carried items and vehicles Operate and maintain the IESS and monitor all alarms Serve as interior guard, perform static guard duties, and conduct roving patrols Respond as part of the Response Force (RF) during alarms and incidents Provide initial emergency medical care and assist in medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) procedures following Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) guidelines Provide site security and armed escort services for visitors and/or authorized personnel Provide logistical and operational support while conducting security operations at Communications Site Israel Conduct building searches, perimeter patrols, and static guard duties Conduct daily training to maintain mission readiness Adhere to and actively support company policies, procedures, standards, and site directives Report all discrepancies or security violations immediately to leadership Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 21 years of age at the time of hire Must be able to speak, read, understand, and write English Must successfully complete all US Government and contractor provided training Meet medical, physical, and Individual Reliability Program (IRP) requirements (see AR 190-56) Minimum 1 year of honorable military, law enforcement, or private security experience within last 5 years Must pass initial and recurring scheduled and/or unscheduled drug tests in accordance with (IAW) AR 190-56 Must have received an honorable discharge as verified by a form DD-214 (U.S. Military) Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET US Government security clearance, for which a US Citizenship is required Qualify and requalify with an M4 rifle, pistol and/or other system(s) per contract requirements Applicants will need to show proof of COVID 19 vaccination

PHYSICAL FITNESS

Must be capable of passing the US Army Physical Ability Test (PAT) as per AR 190-56 and in accordance with contract requirements Drag, carry, lift, and/or pull a person to safety (140-150 pounds) Run 1.5 miles in 17:30 or faster Execute 19 pushups in 2 minutes Use physical force to detain a subject or prevent unauthorized entry Prolonged standing and/or sustained patrol on foot or in a vehicle Sustained pursuit of suspect on foot and dodge, crawl, climb, and/or rapidly ascent stairs Perform duties wearing heavy duty equipment/PPE in adverse conditions

WORKING CONDITIONS

 

Work in a busy, remote environment with limited onsite amenities. Extensive outdoor work in hot/humid conditions (over 100 degrees Fahrenheit), cold weather during winter months, and experience frequent transitions between hot and cold atmospheres. Work hours may fluctuate between 8-12 hours per day based on client needs, with possible extended, holiday, and weekend hours. Additional details related to working conditions may be outlined in the Statement of Work.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 

Perform all physical duties as a contract security guard, including lifting/moving heavy objects, standing outdoors for prolonged periods, and withstanding exposure to weather conditions. Respond during elevated threats, attacks, exercises, and/or drills. Physical tasks include lifting, lowering, carrying, pushing, or moving objects up to 150 pounds. Intermittent standing or prolonged sitting, walking, reaching, kneeling, crouching, and handling work-related supplies and tools.
