Allied Universal® is hiring a Data Center Security Professional (Visa). The Data Center Security Professional and will conduct unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior), control access and egress, monitor closed caption televisions and alarm systems, compose reports, deter criminal activity and misconduct, and perform other duties as specified in post orders.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide professional level customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activitiesEfficiently handle emergency situations, providing safety and direction to clients and customersAnswer and respond to events and situations received in person, via phone and/or radioAccurately document routine and unusual events occurring on or near the facilities (accomplished via shift reports, pass-downs logs, incident reports logs, or other established methods)Provide security support the data center during times of inclement weather or other infrastructure interruptionsConduct patrols around the business and perimeter on foot and with a vehicleEnsure people entering and exiting the office space correctly sign-in by assigning the appropriate badge and applying the approved compliance codesMitigate unwanted intruders and see that visitors are always escorted

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experienceLicensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employmentValid driver’s licensePossess, or be able to obtain, the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificationMinimum of two (2) years of physical security experience within the last five (5) yearsAdvanced computer skills and proficiency; proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google ApplicationsAbility to speak, read, and write the English language fluentlyProficiently skilled in the use of technology such as a desktop computer and mobile applications to document activities and tasksAbility to prioritize workload based on urgencyAbility to quickly and efficiently analyze high stress situations to determine the proper communication of events and to dispatch the proper teams to determine the best course of action to take

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

Active Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) registrationMilitary or law enforcement experience
