Essential Accountabilities: + Being a visible deterrent to crime. + Identifying suspicious behavior. + Contacting and communicating with the authorities. + Taking action in emergency situations. Self-motivation is a must. + Patrolling and monitoring activities on the premises regularly to discourage criminal activity and ensure the environment is safe and secure. + Checking all perimeter doors periodically during the shift. + Evicting trespassers, violators and emotionally disturbed persons while following legal protocols before relevant authorities arrive to take over. + Controlling the entrance of employees, visitors, and vendors. + Monitoring surveillance cameras to water out for any disruptions or unlawful activities. + Providing detailed reports on daily activities any incidents that may have occurred to management. + Assessing burglar/fire alarm system for proper operation. + Performing CPR or fire aid when needed. + Performing physical plant inspections and notifying admin staff of deficiencies. + Completing Environmental checklist for Elmont facility. + Performing fire watch when needed. + Other tasks as directed by Management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalency diploma or experience in security work. A valid NYS Drivers License is required.
