What does a Security Guard in the Housing Industry do?

• Access control

• Conduct Patrols of the building.

• Respond to incidents for tenants if required.

• Conduct Daily Reports and Incident Reports.

• Deter criminal activity

• Facilitate ready access to emergency medical personnel upon arrival by holding exterior doors open, summoning elevator and providing instructions.

• Security guard will assist site staff and visitors to ensure safe and secure environment.

• Respond to various emergencies, such as fires, medical incidents, or security breaches

• Performing environmental checks – water leaks, excessive air flow, unusual noises etc.

 

 

Qualifications to become a Security Guard in the Housing Industry

Valid Permanent Manitoba Security Guard license Fluent in English, both written and orally High school education or equivalent Strong customer service skills Excellent computer skills
