1) Security Strategy & Governance

Security Strategy 

Contribute to business Security strategy and Security roadmap by providing site perspective inputs. Lead strategic initiatives aligned to business requirements at the site level; Institutionalise operational excellence initiatives for the site. 

Security Budgeting 

Plan, prepare and monitor security budget including Capex and Opex; Finalise the budget with security lead on site / site head and get sanction on the same. Monitor adherence to budgets and consult with security lead on site / site head in case of budget shortage/ overruns. 

Governance

Conduct timely reviews of all on-going strategic initiatives at the site including on adjoining land parcels Participate in governance council meetings to suggest improvements and discuss pressing issues with key stakeholders

Regulatory Compliance

Ensure compliance to the regulatory standards laid down by the competent authority.  Day to day coordination with the site security coordinators w.r.t regulatory / statutory body for smooth conduction of business operations. 

2) Security Risk Management & Audit

Intelligence & Vigilance

Cultivate reliable sources of information with key decision makers in administrative bodies, police, local community and media to gather intelligence  Monitor and analyze daily local, national and international news that might impact the business or the site Analyze the gathered intelligence, foresee risks and develop mitigation plans Monitor the vigilance level of the site Security operations and drive alertness at all times.

Security Risk Assessment 

Conduct security risk assessment and implement mitigation measures in consultation with Security Lead at site to counter risks and threats Review the SRA report and ensure mitigation measures are put in place as per the findings

Security Audits

Facilitate internal/ third party / regulatory security audits and conduct timely checks to ensure reliability of Security management system and submit report of audit findings to the Corporate Team. Review the Security audit report, analyse findings and conduct dialogue with the concerned stakeholders for action planning and resolution; Ensure prompt closure of open audit findings. Prepare and execute audit requirements of regulatory bodies

3)Crisis & Incident Management 

Design response plans for crises/ emergencies/ incidents, in line with the regulatory guidelines to ensure business continuity and quick business recovery in coordination with the site. Lead the implementation of the response plan with the site security coordinators during the crises/ emergencies/ incidents. Supervise efficient selection and training of staff to coordinate crisis and emergency incident jointly with the site security coordinators. Revamp the response plans basis key learnings from incidents, in order to improve the business readiness  to face crises and emergencies

4)Security Operations

Management and Review

Monitor site RA operations and ensure adherence to established SOPs and regulation seek security clearances from regional regulatory bodies, as necessary Analyse the MIS reports generated and publish reports on a weekly basis to the Site CSO and facility head and corporate team.  Create security awareness and training programs for employees and community, along with the Site Security Head & Head RA facility. 

Security Control Room Operations

Provision and oversee functioning of RA Security Control Room jointly with the site security coordinators. Lead maintenance and upgradation initiatives for the Control Room in coordination with site security coordinators. Monitor the operations of the Control Room and ensure liaison with all stakeholders of the respective

Patrolling & Surveillance

Create a process to oversee the patrolling procedures of the sites and manage exceptions. Create an SOP in coordination with site security coordinators to periodically check the data from CCTVs, sensors and other such automation equipment to ensure operational vigilance.

Man & Vehicle Access Control

Oversee the end-to-end operations of Access Control and ensure process adherence, Manage deviations of site. Oversee the end-to-end process of visitor access card management through the applicable systems such as AEP / TAEPs etc of site. 

Business Traffic Management

Oversee the business traffic operations to ensure authorised checks are conducted as per SOPs. Study the traffic flow and suggest methods for improvement Oversee the end-to-end operations of traffic management to ensure adherence to established traffic rules 

Investigation & Due Diligence

Periodically conduct investigation of Security incidents including frauds, crimes, theft, pilferage, vandalizing and set in motion remedial measures at site. Review the investigation reports with BU team on investigations of critical incidents happened on site.

RA facility operations. 

Set a process to check various types of cargo as per the regulatory guidelines and SOPs.  Ensure deployment of resources in consultation with site as per the regulation and implement security controls for cargo handling at site Oversee provision & maintenance of Security equipment such as XBIS /CCTV/ETD /ACS / DFMD / HHMD in consultation with security lead of site.  Drive clearance/ vetting of security facility / plans/ BODs as per the requirement for the facility with regulatory body.

6)Protection

Drive the Security systems, processes and operations to ensure round the clock protection to both the tangible and intangible assets. Conduct security events as per the annual security plan and ensure proper security detailing is in place

7)Outsourced Manpower Management 

Monitor and Review the outsourced staff strength and accordingly plan to conduct recruitment. Oversee and Evaluate performance of the third-party security personnel services provider ensuring the deployed personnel are as per the defined parameters.  Engage periodically with the outsourced security employees to ensure their welfare.

8)People Management 

Lead talent acquisition for all vacant positions of the site and support  Site Security Head in talent identification and selection for critical roles. Drive a performance driven culture – Set goals, review performance and provide feedback to ensure a motivated and committed team. Monitor and govern functional and behavioural trainings as per the regulation/ TNI to all personnel. 

Qualification:

Bachelor’ Degree from recognized university. 

Experience:

Minimum of 15 years of experience in the field of Security with minimum 3-5 years in Aviation Security.  Preferable to have experience of 2-3 years as leading Cargo Security/ RA security.
