Security Manager
**Purpose:** The Security Manager is responsible for all security operations under this effort and must have the requisite experience and training to be responsible for all security measures taken to meet security staff. Investigates security incidents and recommends improvements. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** + Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and training plans. + Responsible for establishing work schedules and is in charge of procurements for their staff and employees. Ensures that the security work force follows the SOPs, WIs, CDRLs, and PWS requirements. + Responsible for providing proper training to meet requirements. + Ensures optimal functionality of the overall security program, physical security and Force Protection measures and programs. + Directs and leads subordinates on the day-to-day operations and ensures daily assignments are carried out in a responsive and timely manner. + Responsible for the well-being of the Security Force in their Areas of Responsibility. This includes mentoring subordinates and ensuring proper housing, dining, uniform, and safety gear is available for all guards. + Performs assessments and delivers training programs for the security team members and other Multinational employees. + Ensures the security force is trained and available to assist base operations or the AFSBn – S2. + Coordinates government interactions and compliance activities regarding ongoing security-related issues. + Instills a safety-first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries. + May be required to function as security guard, if needed; **and** **may be required to work nightshift** . + Performs other related duties as assigned or directed. **Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** **Education:** + High school diploma or equivalent required. + Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred. **Experience:** + At least ten (10) years of supervisory/management experience in security or closely related field. + Experience in large scale effort and comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, and procedures. **Specialized Knowledge and Skills:** + Must have knowledge in security operations, law enforcement, and industrial security. + Must have the ability to use initiative, exercise practical independent judgement, and leadership skills as it applies to the organization as well as in emergency situations. + Must have advanced level of proficiency in the use of MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook and other related applications. + Must be able to effectively mobilize and apply staff in emergency situations. + Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work and communicate with others effectively. **Certification, License and Clearance:** + Tier 3 Secret clearance required. + U.S. Citizenship required. **Active Clearance is required** : Must have an active Tier 3 Secret U.S. Government clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Tier 3 Secret clearance. **Work Environment, Physical Demands & Mental Demands:** + Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively. + Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures. + Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions. + Must be able to lift up to 50 Lbs. **Other Responsibilities:** Safety - Amentum enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment.
