Security Manager (Schools/Community Services, Full Time)

General Summary:
The Security Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive security program for the portion of the organization to which they are assigned: Schools/Community Services (operating out of the community service programs building located at 2225 N Charles Street) This includes oversight of all security personnel, policies, and systems at their respective reporting location(s) in alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational policies to ensure the safety and security of patients, students, clients, staff, visitors, and Sheppard Pratt property. The Security Manager will collaborate with various departments to support a secure environment, respond to security incidents, and provide leadership in emergency preparedness and incident response.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
A bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, ten (10) years of progressive management experience in a security or law enforcement related field may be substituted. 5 or more years of management experience in security or law enforcement related fields. Extensive knowledge of security and emergency management best practices, particularly in healthcare settings. Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations regarding hospital/school/program.
