Description:Full Time, Part Time and Pool Security Officer positions available in the Security Department at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital. Night, Evening, and Day Shifts available. 1 year of current security experience required for all positions

Salary Range: $17.00 to $21.00 per hour

The Security Officer is responsible for the security of hospital employees, patients/families, visitors, and property.  Is responsible for fire prevention and initial response measures.  Maintains safety practices in the area of his/her assignment,

Requirements:

HS graduate or equivalent required.

Valid motor vehicle license required with satisfactory driving record required.

Minimum of 1 year of security experience required.

Ability to work all rotating shifts as needed.   

Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Possess the ability to deal tactfully with co-workers, patients and visitors.
Perform alone or as a team member in the management of aggressive or violent behavior through non-abusive physical intervention.  
1-2 years of prior hospital experience preferred.

Act 235 Certification preferred.
