Job Description
HII is seeking an experienced Security Officer 4 to join United States Air Force Joint Mission Assurance Assessment (JMAA) teams in the Ft. Meade area. These teams perform Mission Assurance Assessment (MAA) missions integrating Mission Assurance-related programs and activities into a comprehensive, standardized, risk management assessment that assesses probabilistic risk to assets, systems, and essential capabilities. Team members support the three phases of Mission Assurance Assessments including the Pre-Assessment Phase (mission analysis and pre-site survey); the Assessment Phase (vulnerability/risk assessment); and the Post-Assessment Phase (post analysis and reporting). Support to these phases is in accordance with DoD Instruction 3020.45 (Mission Assurance Construct) and CJCSI 3209.01A Mission Assurance Construct Implementation.
Essential Job Responsibilities
+ Guards, patrols, and polices industrial premises to protect property and staff against fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry, and other hazards.
+ Periodically tours premises; examines doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure; observes departing staff to guard against thefts of company property; inspects equipment and stores to ascertain if tampering has occurred; reports irregularities; sounds alarm; and permits authorized persons to enter property.
+ Examines clearance and credentials of persons desiring entrance to restricted areas.
+ Investigating security breaches and incidents.
+ Conducts assessments of the installation and facility’s ability to protect personnel, critical assets, and missions from physical attacks and ability to deter, detect, defend and respond to an attack.
+ Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
+ Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Minimum Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years related experience.
+ Must possess an active Top Secret/SCI clearance at the time of application and be eligible for a Full Scope Polygraph.
+ Background in security, law enforcement or a related field.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Preferred Requirements
+ 7-12 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or related field.
+ Top Secret/SCI with FS Poly
Physical Requirements
+ Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
+ Capability to respond quickly to emergencies, which may involve running or climbing stairs.
+ Ability to bend, stoop, and reach as needed during patrols and inspections.
+ Strength to lift and carry objects, typically up to 50 pounds.
+ Capacity to remain alert and focused during extended periods of inactivity.
