Security Officer (full time, night shift position) at Providence Newberg Medical Center
 

$2,000 hiring/sign-on bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

Receives general direction from the Security Manager, Supervisor or Lead Security Officer, performs a variety of security protective duties to protect patients, visitors, staff, physicians, property and facilities from accidents, bodily harm, fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.  Enforces PH&S, facility and security policies and regulations.

Required Qualifications: 

H.S. Diploma or GED.  Oregon Private Security Armed/Unarmed Professional - Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training upon hire. Or,  Oregon Private Security Unarmed Professional - Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training upon hire.  Valid Driver's License upon hire.  Private Security Temporary Work Permit PS-20 upon hire.  1 year - Experience using personal computer with standard Microsoft applications.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Coursework/Training - College level coursework in professionally related fields such as criminal justice, social work, psychology or any social science. 1 year - Security/law enforcement experience such as corrections, police, reserve and military police. Direct patient care experience in a healthcare industry.
