Where You Will Work
Located approximately 50 miles northeast of Safford, Arizona on U.S. Highway 191, Morenci operations (an open-pit copper mining complex) has been in continuous operation since 1939. The operation consists of two concentrators, crushed-ore leach pad and stacking system, a low-grade run-of-mine (ROM) leaching system; four SX plants; and three EW tank houses that produce copper cathode.

What You Will Do Perform a variety of patrol, security, emergency response and customer service duties at assigned location. Greet and log in all visitors and vendors at entrance gate Notify appropriate personnel or department of arrival Direct visitors and vendors to destination Enforce company policies and procedures Perform frequent patrols of the property Walk, bicycles, or drives vehicle on irregularly scheduled rounds of property Observe conditions of equipment, grounds and facilities Pick up litter or debris as needed, or arranges clean-up with maintenance crews Report damages or areas in need of repair to the Maintenance Supervisor Conduct surveillance of locations or areas in which vandalism or criminal activities have been noted Assist with and trained for emergency situations Collaborate with police officers in the prevention of crime Work with fire response units for fire suppression, and with medical emergency response units in the event of emergency situations, at the assigned location Provide basic emergency medical response (e.g. performs CPR, gives basic first aid) when needed Perform other duties as required What You Bring To Freeport Current CPR and first aid certifications, as required by specific site location Skilled in responding appropriately to emergency and conflict situations Knowledge of site rules, regulations, policies and procedures Knowledgeable of the site topography and locations of emergency equipment and access points Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Preferred Qualifications High School diploma or GEDWhat We Offer You
The estimated pay range for this role is currently $15.00 - $20.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.
