Executes security duties on assigned shift to adequately protect the life and property of guests, employees, and the property.
Principal Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssists, if needed, with written reports regarding security-related incidents involving guests, employees and/or the property.
Escorts and observes guests and employees to ensure their safety and protection.
Identifies potential safety hazards and reports same to the appropriate individual for proper resolution.
Knows hazardous materials used on property and all applicable laws, rules, and regulations governing same.
Serves as dispatcher during emergency situations, as needed, and coordinates solutions.
Informs outside agencies of any unusual or suspicious situations on property.
Operates company vehicles as directed.
Ensures safe transportation of company monies and gaming tokens.
Assists in the opening and closing of gaming tables.
Ensures a maximum level of guest service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained throughout the property. Lives by the Hard Rock values.
Facilitates the flow of information throughout the property by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
Maintains a series of keys to access locked areas, as necessary.
Requests and accepts identification from all persons who appear to be under the age of 21 to ensure compliance with federal and state gaming regulations.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities RequiredHigh school diploma or GED
Ability to obtain a MS Gaming Work Permit.
Must project a professional and positive image.
High energy level.
Excellent non-verbal communication skills – good posture, able to establish eye contact, and positive body language.
Ability to handle and carry out instructions.
Ability to deal with people in a manner that shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism.
Must be able to maintain composure under stress in a fast pace work environment.
Basic reading and math skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all Hard Rockers and guests.
Ability to understand and promulgate written memos, instructions, regulations.
Training
All employees are required to complete mandatory compliance training within thirty (30) days of hire date, then annually thereafter. Training marked with an asterisk below must be completed prior to reporting to their respective work area. The below courses are required for this position:
