Overview We are looking for a highly engaging, safety and customer focused individual to join our team as a Security Officer. The successful candidate for this role is engaging, highly detailed, and is open to learning and leading by example, responds in a professional and courteous manner to guests and team, as well as being there to support the team both personally and professionally. The Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of guests and employees and the property. This includes supporting other department activities to help ensure the highest levels of guest and employee service. Your Role: Carry out the safety policies and procedures of the property and Pyramid Global Hospitality, while maintaining the highest degree of professionalism and teamwork atmosphere as per standards of service. Patrols lobbies, corridors, guest rooms, and other hotel areas, confers with management, interviews guests and employees. Patrols hotel areas to detect/report and/or control fires, unsafe conditions, and missing or inoperative safety equipment. Responds to alarm notifications. Assists management and law enforcement officers in emergency situations. Conducts daily key inventories and reports and variances Controls all situations in a calm, professional, and hospitable manner. Follows lost and found procedures. Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for guests and associates. Perform identification checks to ensure TABC rules and regulations are being adhered to. Promote and preserve the peace on premises to assure a comfortable and non-threatening environment for guests and employees. Aid, or seek aid for, individuals who are in danger of physical harm, or in need of medical attention. Help assure compliance with liquor laws. Aid in other job classification as determined necessary by immediate superior. Intervening in arguments between customers to de-escalate any disturbances. Reporting intoxicated customers to upper management. Filling out minor and major incident reports as well as completing daily logs. Moving tables, chairs, and other large or heavy furniture items. Be a visible deterrent to issues. Identify suspicious behavior. Qualifications At least 18 years old TABC and Food Handler or ability to acquire within 30 days of hire date. Texas DPS, Level II/III security certification a plus! Minimum of 2 years in industry services or prior military experience Open availability including all evenings, weekends, nights. Excellent verbal and written communication skill Someone with First Aid/CPR certification, prefer instructor rating Someone with at least one year customer service experience preferred The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
