In this role, there is the opportunity to –

Patrol UPMC hospitals, buildings, grounds, and associated areas to establish a uniformed security presence and deter criminal activity. Monitor security, fire, and environmental alarms; respond to alarms and provide assistance as needed. Provide customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff, ensuring a safe and secure environment. Inspect incoming and outgoing parcels to prevent theft and ensure security procedures are followed. Respond to and resolve problems, disputes, and unusual circumstances promptly and effectively. Assist with traffic control and vehicle-related concerns, ensuring smooth operations and safety. Transport deceased individuals to the morgue and handle body releases as necessary. Document incidents, suspicious activities, and hazards accurately in required reports.
