Security Officer

About the role:

Downer is seeking reliable and vigilant Security Officer's to join our team on a fulltime basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the safety and security of our facilities, ensuring a safe environment for staff, visitors, and patients. 

Key Responsibilities: Monitor and patrol premises to prevent unauthorised access, theft, or potential safety hazards. Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and security breaches, ensuring appropriate action is taken. Provide excellent customer service by assisting staff, visitors, and patients as needed. Conduct security checks and ensure all safety protocols are followed, including CCTV monitoring. Complete daily reports and documentation related to security activities and incidents.

About you:

Previous experience in a security role, preferably in a healthcare or similar environment. Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with staff, visitors, and patients. Ability to stay calm and effectively manage stressful or emergency situations. Sound knowledge of security practices, safety protocols, and emergency response procedures. Valid security license and/or certification (where applicable). Current First Aid certificate including CPR Current Working with Children's clearance or willing to obtain one
