**Security Officer Graveyard - Full Time** Former military / law enforcement encouraged to apply!! **Location:** Colorado Springs, CO **Rate:** $17.50/HR **Available Schedule:** Fri - Mon: 12AM - 8AM At Securitas, on-site Security Officers are the foundation of our organization. Our Officers are trained to provide a high level of professionalism and specialization for their assignments, help safeguard people, property, and information. The ideal candidates we are seeking will be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic while adhering to our core values: Integrity, Vigilance, & Helpfulness. **Essential Functions:** + Conduct internal, and external foot and mobile patrols to check for unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, blocked ingress and egress, mechanical problems, unauthorized persons, inspects grounds using appropriate equipment and protective gear. + Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and logs for site; writes and/or types reports and/or enters information in a computer using standard grammar, inspects security control logs and takes action as required. + Control access to client site through the admittance process assists visitors, resident guests, contractors, and delivery personnel with a legitimate need to gain entry to the facility; screens visitors in an efficient manner in order to expedite their admittance to the site. + Provides an atmosphere in which all residents and visitors know that the client cares about their needs. + Present a good image to the client, and residents. + Monitors entrances and exits; acts to prevent unapproved or unlawful entry. + Operates in a calm manner and directs persons who cause disturbance to leave the property. + Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations; sets up barriers and signage, and provides direction or information to others. + Observes and reports incidents or suspicious activity to client representatives, company management, or public safety authorities as appropriate for the circumstances and/or as required by the site. + Acts to ensure that all property removal is conducted within appropriate policy requirements and in accord with client standards. + Carries out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site. **What We Offer:** + Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D, Disability Insurance, EAP, Plus 401K Options. + Virtual Medical Appointments With Telemedicine. + Paid Time Off, Weekly Pay, Paid Training, & Free Uniforms. + Discounts On Childcare, Pet Daycare, Vehicles, Electronics, Cell Phone Plans, Travel & So Much More! **Position Requirements:** + 18 years of age or older. + High School Diploma or GED Required. + Security experience a plus. + Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner. + Must have great attention to detail and have the ability to remain vigilant throughout shift. + Must have graveyard shift availability, with ability to provide additional coverage as needed. + Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic. + Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus. + Intermediate computer / technology skills needed to ensure completion of daily activity reports, logs, via handheld devices and computers, camera monitoring, and reporting alarms. + Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills to assist residents, vendors, drivers, general public, co-workers, Site Supervisor, and Office Management. + Must be able to conduct internal / external foot & mobile patrols throughout shift - during various weather conditions - to check for unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, blocked entrances / exits, mechanical issues, and unauthorized persons. + Must be comfortable with access control and turning away public / visitors that are not permitted on site. + Must have a Colorado Driver's License and a clean driving record due to client required mobile patrol's. + Must have a personal vehicle. + Must be able to work in a team environment to achieve site / organizational goals. + Must be able to meet Colorado Springs Business License requirements for Guard Card License and continue to maintain license every year. + Must be able to respond to emergency situations with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation / force if required. + Must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment while remaining organized and professional. + Must be able to obtain and maintain Colorado Springs Guard Card license upon completion of onboarding, and training. + Must be able to learn and adhere to security operations. + Must be able to provide high quality customer service over the phone, radio, and in person. **All candidates must be willing to participate in our background check process.** See a different world.
