Security Officer I-PRN Night
Summary HSHS Security Officer I's provide safety and security services to ensure the well-being of both people and property by patrolling assigned areas and enforcing rules and regulations. This role responds to all in-building emergency requests and alarms, providing assistance and coordination. HSHS Security are often the first or last person our patients, visitors and colleagues encounter in our facilities. Therefore, Security Officer I's are expected to be professional and courteous, while balancing the challenges that occur while working in the hospital environment . Qualifications Education High School Diploma, GED or related vocational training is preferred. Associate degree in law enforcement, Criminal Justice or military service is preferred. Experience One year of experience with knowledge of private security functions obtained through education or work experience such as military, public safety or fire department is preferred. Certifications, Licenses and Registrations Valid state driver’s license and must be insurable to operate hospital vehicles is required. Successfully complete the Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) Certification within the first 90 days of employment is preferred (if utilized at the affiliate).
