Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Security Flex Officer for a part-time position at a downtown Chicago hotel. This role requires adaptability to work various shifts, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and delivering exceptional service to hotel guests and staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong security background, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle dynamic responsibilities. Flex officers must also be able to stand for long periods and adjust to changing schedules.

Qualifications

Required:

Minimum of 1–2 years of security experience.

Must be 21 years of age or older.

Must be able to lift more than 20 lbs.

Preferred:

Customer service experience.

Alarm panel experience.

Comfortable using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily security operations and ensure compliance with company policies.

Manage and support security personnel, providing guidance and training as needed.

Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and client inquiries.

Maintain accurate records of activities, incidents, and personnel performance.

Ensure all equipment and systems, including computers and tablets, are used effectively.

Deliver exceptional customer service to clients, visitors, and employees.

Demonstrate professionalism, maintain operational standards, and adhere to all policies and procedures set forth by the company and the client.

Allied Universal has security jobs and are seeking to fill the position of a Security Flex Officer.

The Security Flex Officer is responsible for the safety and security of the facilities they protect. A Security Flex Officer acts as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions and detect and report suspicious, unsafe or criminal acts at or near their assigned posts, which may be a threat to the property, clients, guests or employees at the site.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
