Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Operations Center Supervisor. The Security Operations Center Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing operations within the control room that services, monitors, triages, and coordinates response across high-profile customer sites in the respective region. The Security Operations Center Supervisor will use operational best practices to ensure the physical safety and security of our people, buildings, and assets on any given shift.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Supervisor will oversee the delivery of the services and drive compliance to standards & procedures governing access control system (ACS) alarm response & escalation, incident reporting, issuance of employee credentials, and interaction with employees, contractors, and visitors. They will engage with people across the business that require security related support and follow up with inquiries where necessary. They will also analyse, assess, and triage reports as appropriate and as directed. The ideal candidate will have prior experience of working in or supervising a similar international control room or SOC. It is essential that they have an ability to maintain good relationships, a good team ethic and are keen to exceed expectations. They will be expected to have an ability to operate with limited supervision and have familiarity with some of the technical principles associated with a modern SOC. A curious and inquisitive outlook is essential, and they must have an innate desire for continuous self-development. Coordinate and oversee the delivery of the SOC’s suite of services across multiple shifts providing 24/7/365 coverageLiaise with other Security Operations Centers within the SOC network and ensure best practice is maintained throughout the networkAbility to work a variable schedule as needed to coordinate & deliver training, operational updates, etc. across multiple shiftsOversee a team of SOC Shift Supervisors using a metrics-based approach to improve performance and efficiency (SLA/KPI)Formulate Management Information (MI) and reports to share with GPS management on a daily/weekly/monthly basisProvide direction to Shift Supervisors and drive compliance to standards and proceduresProvide a high level of service to local and remote SAP sites and staff with the emphasis on the security and safety of client staff, assets, and informationCompile reports daily to be shared with other SOC shifts and managementProvide high quality written and verbal reports as and when requiredTake telephone inquiriesMaintain/validate accurate logs of daily eventsLiaise with emergency services and other monitoring agents as and when directedAssist in the collation and preservation of digital media evidenceAssist in the collation and viewing of network video images in response to incident investigation in line with associated code of practiceIdentify and promptly respond to any system anomaliesUnder minimal supervision, determine the appropriate response to each reported incidentMaintain active awareness of the monitored environment to promote safe and effective working environmentMaintain a conscientious and proactive approach to work to achieve excellent standardsDelivery of new training material provided by OperationsMaintain SOC operator’s schedule, with no open shifts; this role may be required to fill Operator shifts when unable to cover with operator and/or shift-level supervisory personnel

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of two (2) years of military, law enforcement, government, or corporate security operations center experiencePrior supervisory/management experience, preferably in a security roleExperience in basic security analysis, problem solving, handling preliminary inquiries, incident assessment and triaging reportsDemonstrated understanding of video, access, and guard management systemsHigh proficiency in using IT applications and evidence of data entry and retrieval, keyboard skills, to a speed of at least 25wpm with at least 75% accuracyAbility to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports where necessaryBasic knowledge of some technical elements associated with security systems such as IP networks, servers, LAN/WANBasic working knowledge of data protection policies such as GDPR/DPP and the need to keep sensitive information secureAbility to remain calm under pressure and respond to incidents, particularly in emergencies, in a professional, resilient, and timely manner with minimal supervision where appropriate. Comprehensive English language skills, written and spokenPossess exceptional communication skills and an ability to adopt the appropriate approach when dealing with others who may be anxious or distressedAbility to perform all subordinate tasks and responsibilities of Shift Supervisors and SOC Operators

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Driving Positions: must possess a valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle required.
