SECURITY OPERATIONS MANAGER

ABOUT HOMES FOR THE HOMELESS, INC.
Homes for the Homeless, Inc. (HFH) is a non-profit social services organization operating family shelters throughout NYC that serve as a hub of opportunity for families both residing in shelter as well as those in the neighboring community. On-site programs range from childcare, early childhood education centers, afterschool clubs and programs, and youth recreation activities, such as sports teams, to housing assistance, case management, parenting workshops, career and job vocational training, support groups and substance abuse assistance, and family engagement and recreation events for the whole family.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and supervise assigned shift staff. Ensures compliance with security and FDNY protocols, reports, and regulations.The ability to train staff on protocols and procedures, as well as proper use of equipment.Comfortable with conducting workshops for staff.Train staff on incident report writing.Keep all critical files up to date.Strong administrative skills, such as organization of forms and filingRespond to emergency situations.
QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of five (5) years’ experience with at least one (1) year of supervisory experience in a similar position. Valid NYS Security License. F-80 Certification required.High School diploma or equivalent. Fire Life Safety Director preferred. Demonstrated experience with fire safety codes and regulations at a supervisory level. Demonstrated experience operating surveillance camera systems and related technology. Computer skills required. The ability to stand, sit and walk for an extended period. Must work weekends. Strong writing ability. Ability to use a computer and computer programs.
