What You Can Expect
As the Security Operations Senior Advisor, based in Houston, TX or Chicago, IL, you will be a leader within the corporate security team, tasked with implementing and directing a comprehensive enterprise security risk management program for Engie North America and its affiliates. You will manage the security function within various Global Business portfolios and communicate with Global Business Units, which will look to you for direction and expertise. Your role will involve identifying, developing, implementing, and maintaining security processes and infrastructure across the organization to reduce risks, respond to incidents, limit exposure to liability, and minimize financial loss to the organization. You will also drive investigations into criminal financial loss, crimes against persons, sabotage, threats, emergencies, illegal acts, and property or environmental crimes.
The Security Operations Senior Advisor is responsible for defining, establishing, and modernizing a robust security system to ensure the security of all corporate and operational personnel, assets, and critical systems at ENGIE. Drive continuous improvement of Engie’s security posture to ensure the security of people, assets, and critical systems, while providing Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in security architecture, crisis management, policies, emergency response, and procedures as they pertain to security systems across multiple platforms and technologies.
Reporting to the Head of Security ENGIE North America, your primary duties encompass:
Manage and provide oversight of our physical security operations function in the Americas region and support the wider team globally as required Work closely with Engie North America’s business leads, workplace teams and external business partners to optimize the team to scale with business needs Build, review, and refine policy and procedure guidance documents for security practices, user operations escalations, event management, crisis management, and incident documentation Design, develop, and implement Executive protection policies, procedures, and standards Partner with functional, business and vendor teams across the company to conduct risk, threat, and vulnerability assessments to identify and document Engie North America’s most impactful risks. Recommend and deploy appropriate mitigation strategies Effectively manage services providers, ensuring an effective risk-based programs operating within a developed set of standard operating procedures Provide feedback through service level agreements, quarterly business reviews and agreed key performance indicators Forecast budgets accurately, make improvement and cost-efficiency suggestions and manage operations to budget Define and deliver reporting and KPI requirements for all security-based incidents Create and administer employee education programming to increase security awareness levels throughout the various GBU portfolios as we continue to develop a culture of security that protects Engie North America and our clients, i.e., workplace violence, mass casualty events, natural disasters, etc. Spearhead business continuity plans, crisis management plans and ensure emergency incident and crisis response plans are in place and assessed regularly Provide security design expertise and project management in relation to new office builds and expansion efforts throughout the region Spearhead the planning and execution of proactive, innovative security programs and projects to reduce risk to Engie North America Carries out other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Emergency Management, Security, or similar degree fields required Minimum ten (10) years of experience in security management Working knowledge of access control systems, including integration into an enterprise level management system Working knowledge of large-scale industrial construction project’s complexity Working knowledge of travel security risk management systems Understands state-of-the-art technology solutions and innovative security management techniques to safeguard enterprise-wide assets. Knowledge and experience in RFP/RFI process, including new vendor onboarding Expert level understanding of collection and analysis of security metrics to inform decisions, including conducting risk and vulnerability assessments and operational security design/planning Exceptional ability to design, develop and implement Crisis Management, Business Continuity, and Emergency response plans, in a large complex matrix-based organization Ability to meet highest attendance requirements Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy
Additional Details
This role requires attendance at a worksite daily Must be available to travel domestically / internationally up to 80% of the time and with the need for overnight trips Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
Compensation
Salary Range: $131,000 – $200,790 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
