Security Operations Specialist I - RMOC

The Security Operation Specialist I - RMOC position is responsible for maintaining situational awareness, gather information from internal and external sources, coordinate incidents with security leaders and intelligence analysts and disseminate information for priority matters. This job will interact with customers, law enforcement, external parties, and employees at all levels of the organization.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experienceInitiate incident management for incidents under the authority of Corporate Security Operate and monitor advanced security systems, including CCTV, alarms, and access control systems Conduct real-time surveillance to detect and respond to potential security threats Ability to assess a baseline to detect/deter/respond to anomalies Investigate and analyze security threats to deploy mitigation techniquesDocument information and actions taken in case management systemSupport security personnel by providing additional information through research of internal and external systemsPrepare and disseminate security products at the request of security leadersMaintain situational awareness of ongoing incidents and events by monitoring internal systems and external open source systemsProvide direct and indirect support to security personnel as needed throughout the duration of the eventMonitor access control systems and surveillance cameras and investigate alarms and incidents Conduct special projects and assignments in support of the RMOC and Corporate Physical Security operationsPerform other duties as requested

Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Self-starter and motived to address all issues and incidentsAbility to master Corporate Physical Security computer based technologyAbility to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, working efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines and in a stressful environment
Effective research and analytical skillsEffective information management skillsAbility to assess issues and solve problemsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamEffective documentation and written communication skills with the ability to prepare executive level situational reportsEffective oral communication skills with the ability to present incident details in a clear and concise manner to regional security leaders and executive level managementEffective computer proficiency in Microsoft office applications, GIS systems, and other open source search engines and applications
Knowledgeable on computer hardware and software applicationsDetail oriented, able to multi-task in stressful situations

Required Education
Associate’s degree or equivalent experience

Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
Equivalent military / law enforcement /security operation center work experience - 3+


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Proficient in monitoring open sources to identify events which may impact company operations

Preferred Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

WORKING CONDITIONS
Office environment
Ability to work overnights, weekends, holidays as needed
