Akima Data Management (ADM), an Akima company, is seeking Security Program Analyst II to provide program support to the Department of State Diplomatic Security, located in Rosslyn, VA.
Responsibilities
The SPA II is responsible for providing support for the Worldwide Protective Services Division, Worldwide Protective Services (WPS) programs, to include Global Canine (K9), DS Equipment Standardization, and Drug Testing contracts. The SPA assists, as needed, the Facility Protection Division and the Operational Support Division security programs.
The SPA II works under the guidance of Government officials in DS/IP/OPO, Security Program Officer IIIs, IIs, and Security Program Officers.
The SPA II shall be involved in the process of vetting commercial Contractors for duty under the Worldwide Protective Services contract (or other protective services contracts) and other Worldwide Protective Services Division tasks as directed. Coordinates with other DS elements and commercial vendors concerning security clearances; analyzes resumes and biographical data to ensure candidates successfully meet the contractual requirements of the high threat and non- traditional local guard security programs.
The SPA II uses security experience and skills to analyze information submitted from a variety of other sources for validity, accuracy, applicability, and ensure data integrity of the databases maintained by DS/IP/OPO. Senior management and program officers will rely on information and advice from the SPA II to determine appropriate responses to requests from the Department, Bureau, Post, and commercial vendors.
Qualifications
An Associate’s degree.
One (1) year of experience, six (6) months of which must be specialized in administration of security-related programs; remaining six (6) months of experience may be
Background knowledge of security industry standards and practices and/or Department of State security regulations, standards, and policies.
Active SECRET clearance.
