Security Project Manager is responsible for delivering and overseeing the performance of the security projects in sensitive infrastructure, which means effective service delivery and outcomes in line with client requirements. The ideal candidate will need to showcase strong security project management and customer service at the front line, as well as sound knowledge of the commercial security landscape and comprehensive security knowledge.
This role focuses on an in-depth understanding of installation, migration, and maintenance of electronic security assets such as Intruder Detection, Access Control, IP - CCTV, Biometrics, X-ray, Baggage Scanners, Intercoms, Perimeter Security Systems, IP Networking and Integrated Systems (HLI/API) etc.
Responsibilities
Using a flexible and adaptable approach the responsibilities of the Security Project Manager include:
Security project works and services are completed in accordance with specified project time, quality and budget. Customer advocacy through exceptional service. Active management of employees and subcontractors through effective leadership and communication. Full compliance and consistency with the contract and BGIS Services business systems. OHS & E policies and procedures are met and maintained by all stakeholders. Ensure project cost is within the client approved budget, invoices are processed and paid in a timely and efficient manner and ensure cash flow is forecasted and reported Management of all stages of project delivery and ensure the project specific statutory requirements are met Development and maintenance of site-specific scopes and technical specifications. Establish and maintain the project program including the critical path. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, codes and standards. Ensure full compliance with BGIS Services business systems, including the Quality Management System (QMS), Occupational Health & Safety System (OH&S) and Environmental Management System (EMS), & soft copy information is stored on SharePoint. Foster and maintain positive working relationships with clients, client sub-contractors, contractors, subcontractors, vendors/suppliers, and consultants.
Knowledge / Experience/Qualifications
Strong demonstrated experience in the delivery of security projects under Opex or Capex programs. Strong demonstrated experience in relationship management with external clients and contractors with strong diplomacy, contract management with a focus on identifying and building key client relationships. Strong business acumen with demonstrated business planning and high-level financial knowledge and skills. Experience in the management of OHS for construction sites (refurbishments/fit outs/new construction). Proven capability of working within an environment using QA, OH&S and environmental systems. Able to respond quickly to change and adopt a flexible/ innovative approach to problems and opportunities. Proficient in applications including Word, Excel, and MS Project. Experience in the design of integrated electronic security systems. Must have proven technical skills and experience in the electronic security industry Working with Access Control, CCTV, Biometrics, X-ray and Baggage Scanners, Perimeter Security Systems, Guarded Security, IP networking etc. Highly experienced as Lead Project Manager Experience in medium to major physical security projects in New South Wales. Experience in managing simultaneous small to large projects. Current NSW security licence 2A, B, C Holds a current General Induction for the Construction Industry card, and Graduate Diploma of Project Management; or Trade Certificate in electronic security or relevant discipline such as, electrical, electrical engineering / technician; or Qualifications or experience in Project Management or Project Engineering is desired. A valid Driver's licence (mandatory).
