Summary

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist line management in the control monitoring processes including the compilation of relevant Mis and KRIs. Comply with undertake additional responsibilities from time to time consistent with this role, within the capabilities and in order to support the needs of the business. Effectively manage the day to day operations of the Control Room and supervise and deploy guards on shift, ensuring all security operations are duly carried out including both physical security and control processes. Ensure compliance with all operational risk controls and in accordance with company policies and standards. Ensures safety and security awareness amongst employees is always to a high degree. Maintain a strict control process over the key management and ensure constant governance over the movement of keys. Monitors multiple access control, CCTV, Fire Alarm and other alarm systems interfacing with multiple sets of phones, computers and operating systems available in a control room environment. Promote an environment which supports cooperation between team members and contributing towards a high level of operational efficiency. Provide first line response for all incidents and assess the seriousness of the incident, ensuring appropriate support / response is available to staff and effected area. Responsible for all authorised entries into the site and for the site security and safety outside normal working hours. Responsible for the coordination and response to emergency alarms and other equipment / personnel-initiated security and safety events to minimise risk, loss and/or injury to staff and assets. To always act and behave in a way compliant with all HID Global Company guidelines and policies, especially those relating to Security, Environment Health and Safety, Ethics and Codes of Conduct. To Understand the principles and comply with practices of Lean Manufacturing, 5S and continuous Improvement. Undertake walk-throughs around the plant and perimeter to maintain governance over safety and security. Have at least ‘O’ level standard of education Education and/or Experience Ability to work in a secure environment and able to make decisions independently to resolve security situations and to work different shifts and overtime as needed. Be able to relay routine information clearly and concisely internally and to contractors and customers. The information may be sensitive due to nature of security role. Have strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and be able to work in a team. May in occasion have full responsibility for the HID site. Will operate within established guidelines using precedent and experience to make judgements through the quality of the work carried out by the individual and related teams. Proficient use of Microsoft office-based products with an emphasis on Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Proven decision-making persuasion, analytical, organisational and planning in a fast-paced environment where handling and prioritising multiple tasks is expected. Language Skills Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
