Job Description Summary:
The Physical Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the physical security operations of Draper. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining security protocols and procedures to safeguard assets, personnel, and information. The supervisor leads a team of security personnel, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and security standards. They conduct risk assessments, monitor security systems, and respond to incidents as they arise.Job Description:
Duties/Responsibilities
Ensure physical security compliance as they apply to the National Industrial Security Program
Document, review and distribute of daily shift reports.
Manage guards and conduct performance evaluations.
Conduct Self Inspections to ensure policy compliance.
Ability to provide exceptional customer service and professionalism.
Update and maintain Physical Security manuals, guard training records, and guard tours.
Handle issues related to locks, CCTV, radios and other Physical Security equipment as necessary.
Provide guidance and direction on relevant changes to security procedures (internal and government) to cleared Draper employees and direct reports.
Execute special projects as assigned.
Skills/Abilities
Ability with prioritizing the workload for the teams.
Able to work on ladders, above ceilings, below raised floors, confined spaces and roof tops.
Able to lift and move equipment up to 30lbs.
Able to stand, sit and walk for extended periods.
Excellent management and supervisory skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient with Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint
Possess strong organizational skills.
Able to operate independently with little supervision.
Ability to work with confidential and classified information
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
Five years of related security experience required.
