Job Description
Works as an empowered employee within established guidelines, procedures, and protocols to provide administrative and dispatching support for the care, welfare, safety, services, and security of hospital personnel, visitors, patients, and property. Proactively supports efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and promote a safe environment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.Experience

Ensures consistent patrols of facility and follows up on findings of issues related to security, parking, policy compliance, and safety.Ensures posting at designated areas, performance of assigned duties, and completeness of reports of any unusual occurrences.Serves as ambassador for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta by maintaining and ensuring proper grooming, dress, and appearance as outlined in departmental protocol.Ensures 24-hour control center monitoring and coverage of duties, including alarm monitoring (e.g., fire, boiler, panic, code blue), making code announcements, issuing car seats, and other services/emergency functions.Intervenes in crisis situations and assists Division of Family and Children Services, Risk Management, Safety, Nursing, Administration, law enforcement, and social workers in the protection and safety of personnel, patients, visitors, and property.Remains up-to-date on current security and professional issues through reading and self-study.Ensures cleanliness and organization of assigned post and vehicles.Ensures valet parking for board members, VIPs, patients, and other as needed and directed.Provides guidance, training, and support to staff members.Reports security needs and suggestions to Senior Security Supervisor.Ensures escort availability to anyone requesting this service.Assist Supervisor and/or Manager with development of staff by: being available to teammates, acting as aChildren’s Healthcare of Atlanta is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants and employees without regard to race, color, sex, religion, national origin, citizenship, age, veteran status, disability or any other characteristic covered by applicable law.
