Summary About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command at White Sands Missile Range, NM. Responsibilities Develops solutions and new processes or procedures and recommend changes to existing policy and procedures. Establishes and maintains an effective and efficient security program within the organization. Promotes the synchronization of security efforts and initiatives across the organization. Uses initiative and resourcefulness to independently identify and resolve difficult and complex security issues not resolvable by established regulations, guidelines, or processes. Provides monthly security metrics to support the Command’s security readiness reporting requirements. Provides security support for two or more security programs (e.g. Personnel Security (PERSEC), Industrial Security (INDUSEC), Foreign Disclosure (FD), Information Security (INFOSEC), and Technical Security or their associated training requirements). Specialized experience is defined as: Performing the following duties involved with TWO OR MORE of the following security disciplines: (1) Providing policy and procedural guidance, interpreting regulations and practices, initiating and advising on technical problems, and providing corrective action in the oversight of Information Security, Personnel Security, Physical Security, Industrial Security, and Operations Security. AND (2) Provide security training and inspection compliance associated with these disciplines. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Communications Security Tools and Methods Technical Competence Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series. Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
