Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Security Specialist to join our team!

In this role, the Security Specialist will assist the Facility Security Officer (FSO) in administering the Parsons Huntsville Security Program, implementing policies, plans, procedures, departmental instructions, and technical support of safeguards and security (S&S) programs to protect client security interests.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administers industrial security programs in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), applicable laws, regulations, and DoD contractual requirements.Manages the processing of security clearance paperwork, including collection and review of relevant documents and information for completeness, consistency, and accuracyMaintains personnel security records and databases, including quality assurance and control of the fingerprinting process.Ensures compliance with all security requirements for the marking, handling, and safeguarding of classified information received and stored within the facility, to include both information and physical security policy and procedures.Manages, prepares, and tracks all Department of Defense Contract Security Classification Specifications ​(DD Form 254s) provided from the government/prime contractor as well as those necessary for distribution to subcontractorsImplements Security Education, Training, and Awareness ProgramsExecutes visitor control functions to include processing of incoming and outgoing visit requests and verifying incoming visitor identification, prior to allowing access to classified informationVerifies preparation of essential reports, troubleshooting industrial security issues, and providing assistance in resolving all concerns and queries from government agencies and company management.Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

2+ years of relevant facility Industrial Security experienceMust be open and able to pass a PolygraphExperience in executing 32CFR (NISPOM) requirementsActive TS/SCI CLEARANCE

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Industrial Security Professionals (ISP) CertificationSIMS experienceDoD Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification (Security Fundamentals Professional (SFPC), Industrial Security Oversight (ISOC), etc.)Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience

PHYSIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Occasionally lift and carry up to 50lbs pounds

Salary Range: 

$70,500.00 - $123,400.00
