Summary You will serve as a Security Specialist in the NAVAL SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status. Responsibilities You will perform Navy-wide program oversight in acquisition, security, IT, logistics, financial management and cybersecurity. You will be responsible for risk management and mitigation to protect the technology program and ensure that program cost, schedule, and performance are met within approved thresholds. You will attend and provide security expertise and guidance at program technical meetings. You will conduct site surveys and physical security accreditations. You will interpret and implement organizational security policies and procedures. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following; Developing and evaluating a full-range of program security documents, policies, and procedures and coordinates implementation. Providing guidance for the issuance, control, education, and guidance relative to the security Classification Guide on all classified items or systems. Providing daily security guidance and policy interpretation for contractors/government facilities. Reviewing documentation required for classified information systems in accordance with the current security regulations.
