Summary About the Position: The DEVCOM Analysis Center (DAC) is an Army organization comprised mostly of civilian science and engineering professionals. DAC's mission is to deliver objective analysis, experimentation, and data across the entire life cycle to ensure our Warfighters are ready today and more ready in the future. DAC is one of eight science and technology domains within the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) that serves 21 locations across the United States. Responsibilities Serve as Security Specialist for the DEVCOM Analysis Center (DAC) G-2 Intelligence and Security Office at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. Primary responsibilities involve Operations Security (OPSEC) and Tech Protect (TP). Conduct in-depth review of public release documents and draft and maintain the organization's Critical Information List (CIL). Duties include OPSEC planning; managing the organization's OPSEC working group; and providing applicable OPSEC training to the workforce. Identify technology for nomination to the Critical Protected Technology List (CPTL). Attend TP working groups and remain abreast of the latest rules, regulations, and communities of practice. Maintain knowledge of Research and Technology Protection (RTP) guidance and regulations. This position is covered under an alternative personnel system known as the Army Futures Command (AFC) Science and Technology Reinvention Laboratory (STRL) Demonstration Project. The Demonstration replaces GS grade levels with occupational families and pay bands. The salary range of the position being filled will not be decreased with the change to pay bands.
