Security Specialist (HSPD)

ASCI has an upcoming opportunity for a full-time experienced Security Specialist for our government customer. Great opportunity to build leadership and experience in the Security Field.

Summary of Duties:

The Security Specialist assists at a high level and communicates with project leadership and stakeholders. Project planning and scheduling assistance. Will be assisting with Project management, including performance monitoring and measurement assistance. This position may require travel within the US.

Other roles and responsibilities shall include but not limited to the following:

Shall perform duties in the Contract Suitability, Intake to Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) duties shall include the following:

Applying incident management, problem solving, and task performance. Producing finished documentation such as: Reports, Special studies, procedure development, Security training programs and assessments, Sponsorship and Enrollment of DHS HSPD-12 personal identity verification (PIV) Credentials. Provide support to the Adjudications Programs or the HSPD-12 Programs Reporting and documentation associated with performance project program objectives. Participating in stakeholder briefings, required meetings, and related project support services. Conduct ongoing research and analysis regarding personnel suitability related policies, practices, and procedures, in an effort to improve the efficiency Prepare detailed written reports and recommendations regarding the outcome of the above research and analysis to the Personnel Security Division Director. Comply with the suitability program administration requirements through 5 CFR 731.202 (b), (a) and Executive Order 13467 Conduct suitability adjudication-related training as it becomes necessary for any changing regulations or mandates in the handling of designating position risk and adjudicating suitability. Maintain personnel security reference materials and OHS policy and procedure for handling classified, Privacy Act protected, and sensitive information.
