Job DescriptionThe Industrial Security Specialist II with the direction of the EFW Facility Security Officer will assist the
Facility Security Officer maintain and manage the overall security posture of the EFW Fort Worth facility
and ensure compliance with United States Departments of Defense and State requirements as presented
in the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and the International Traffic in
Arms Regulations (ITAR) respectively.
Responsibilities and Tasks in order of priority to be successful:
• Direct and manage the identification system for all employees, service and technical
representatives, contractors and visitors to the company.
• Provide and manage the guard services at the company; assuring that the facility is protected and
controlled.
• Maintain and manage the security requirements in support of DoD Classified Contracts, and keep
• Provide support to all industrial security programs to ensure compliance with government and
company security regulations.
• Provide written and oral communication to all site staff relative to security requirements.
• Maintain the Joint Personnel Adjudication System and assist employees with the completion
• Oversee background/reference checks on company employees.
• Participate in investigations involving fraud, theft, sabotage, espionage, subversive activities or
employee misconduct.
• Review classified contracts to ensure that proper security guidance is received from the
government, as requested.
• Ensures that the Company Security Manual which outlines security regulations for employees is
maintained.
• Ensures that standard practices are designed, established and used for all industrial security
functions.
• Help provide interpretation of the standard practices as they relate to industrial security. Assist
with the receipt and processing of visit request and contact reports required by the Special
Security Agreement and Visitation Approval
• Procedure Agreement.
• Provides information for the quarterly report to the Government Security Committee. Is aware if
the use of Classified Information Systems.
• Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Envoke security actions as needed to remain in compliance with all Security policies.
• Attend Site Inspections
• Attend Training Development
• Outside Business Relationships:
• Government Security Committee.
• Defense Security Service.
• Other functional leaders across the company at all site locations.
• Other EFW site locations security officers.
• Law Enforcement personnel as necessary.
• Representatives from the Department of Defense.
• Representatives from the Department of State.
• Representatives from any branch of the Armed Services, as required.
• Associate's degree is preferred
• High School diploma or GED is required
• Specific Degree Field Required: Industrial Security.
• Training Pre-requisites (Within One Year of Taking Position):
• ESD
• Safety Training, as dictated by Safety Department
Skills and Abilities
• Effectively communicate with Site staff and Managers.
• Initiate and follow through to completion special projects.
• Ability to implement written company-wide security policies and procedures.
• Ability to conduct comprehensive security audits.
• Ability to assist in the implementation of corrective actions.
