Job DescriptionAbout The Role
As an IT Security Specialist III, you will be responsible for ensuring Amcor has proper visibility, detection, and protections to secure Amcor. Your primary responsibilities will involve strategic input on the IT Security roadmap and delivery of our comprehensive security strategy. The role is also responsible for global information security design and integration to ensure technology implementations are configured securely and appropriately. The candidate will have a broad understanding of information security concepts and experience with implementing many technical security controls. This role is the senior most technical expert on all matters of security, works at the direction of the IT Security Manager, and collaboratively with others.
Key Job Accountabilities
Lead global technical IT security strategy including metrics, program improvements, and innovative ways to mitigate business risk while improving securityApply knowledge of threats, vulnerabilities, risk, and technical systems to build strategic roadmaps to harden systems and close vulnerabilitiesDesign and implementation of security architecture, standards and new technology.Develop system maintenance procedures to ensure proper health of all security technology.Conducting risk assessments to identify gaps and recommending mitigation strategies. Be a thought leader in security engineering and operations delivery - driving automation, analytics, and advanced threat analysisEvaluate current or emerging technologies to consider factors such as cost, security, compatibility, or usability to ensure proper alignment with global security strategyPlay a key role in the identification, assessment, prioritization and remediation processes of cyber security risks and vulnerabilitiesDrive transformation from detective controls to preventative controls where possibleCritical contributor in building and adopting new security technologies while supporting day-to-day security activities from incident handling and response, security monitoring, alerting, and moreLead technical expert of the Security Incident Response Team, contributes to the execution of the incident management plan in response to active security incidents, and aides in the collection and preservation of evidence while following chain-of-custody best practicesMentor and guide junior security team membersActively participate in a 24x7 delivery team, which may include on-call and weekend workQualifications/Requirements

CompensationThe starting salary for this position is expected to be between $108 700 to $135 900; however, base pay offered may vary within the full salary range $108 700 to $163 100 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on national averages and a geographic differential may be applied based on work location. Position may also be eligible for Amcor’s Management Incentive Plan / Sales Incentive Plan, which is an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance, as well as medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits.BenefitsWhen you join Amcor, you will have access to a comprehensive benefits and compensation package that includes:
