Security Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY

The employee in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests. The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the activities of the security shift, which provides safety and protects all patrons, employees and company assets. This position is responsible for learning and communicating the various policies and procedures required of the Security Department staff and for ensuring compliance with all local and state regulations. This position is classified as a Safety Sensitive position. It is a job or position where the team member holding this position has the responsibility for his/her own safety and/or the safety of others.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides superior guest service, positively affects interactions with guests and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and the ability to work effectively and courteously with fellow employees. Ensure at all times operating principles are being adhered to: Clean – Keep all areas clean and pristine. Safe – Follow all safety policies and procedures. Friendly – Use customer courtesy skills of Company sponsored programs to provide superior guest service. Fun – Have fun! Be interactive with all internal and external guests while maintaining professional standards. Fantastic Value – Effectively manage and ensure an optimum value proposition for our patrons.  Delegate authority to Security Lead Officers to meet the business needs of the casino and assist with Security Officer Duties and responsibilities when necessary. Responsible for guest approaches and investigations. Communication to management which includes: emails, paperwork, shift reports, incident reports and logs. Responsible for scheduling and reviewing staffing levels to maintain adequate Security coverage. Responsible for daily operations of the shift. Responsible for investigating and cancelling KeyWatcher alarms, adding and removing users to KW systems. Responsible for employee decisions including: hiring, evaluations, training, develop and discipline staff up to suspensions and recommendations for termination. Investigate incidents and/or customer complaints and compile data for accurate reporting. Ensure all policies and procedures are being followed. Review departmental activities with the Security Manager, Security Shift Manager and meet with Managers/Directors a necessary. Manage staff within department budget restraints and accurately complete assigned reports. Completes all company-required training within designated time frames.  Other duties as assigned.
