GENERAL SUMMARY

Leads and performs the administrative and operational duties for all security-related functions associated with assigned shifts. Provides protection for personnel and company property. May arrange for extra protection for key employees. Administers and oversees all security operations during shift to ensure the safety of FTMC personnel, guests, and customers as well as protecting FTMC properties from unauthorized access, sabotage, vandalism, or theft. Maintains high level of discretion and confidentiality. Serves as the primary site contact for law enforcement agencies. Supports and administers organizational security plans and operations. Maintains inventory of all security-related equipment. Assists with the development, implementation, and maintenance of security procedures based on approved policies and procedures to meet required codes and regulations. Assists with the preparation and maintenance of all required security manuals. Maintains records, manuals, and documentation. Regular, predictable attendance is essential for satisfactory performance..

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Performs all Security Officer duties and oversees security team members. Duties include planning, scheduling, organizing, and directing work, organizing training for personnel, and recommending applicants for training opportunities or corrective action. Reviews incident reports, event logs and other security documents and keeps files updated and current. Maintains evidence and property storage lockers and associated reports.

Trains and enforces approved safety regulations at the work sites. Ensures the safety of patients, clients, employees, and contractors maintaining confidential information.

Executes procedures and processes to provide physical protection for personnel and hospital company property and meets required codes and regulations. Ensures Security Team shift priorities are followed based on policies and procedures.

Communicates clearly and effectively with management, employees, clients, partners, and vendors.

Supports and conducts internal investigations in accordance with legal requirements and hospital company policies. Reviews incident reports for clarity, correctness, and submits for approval.

Organizes and conducts pre-determined actions and renders first aid in emergencies such as accidents, fire, and illness.

Assists with the administration of the operation of all security related systems: access control, CCTV, digital video recording, photo badging, etc. during shift.

Assists with department responsibilities regarding completion and individual management of purchase orders. Develops and maintains positive security vendor relationships in the best interest of FTMC.

Reviews utilization and maintenance of security equipment on site.

Maintains and recommends changes or improvements in the software recordkeeping system for security team activities.

Recommends to the Sr. Director of Patient Support Services ways to improve physical security and/or correct department function.

Has unsupervised direct access to customer equipment and data.

Performs other duties as assigned.
