Grow your career in paradise! Previous experience in security/military/law enforcement helpful. Qualifications BASIC FUNCTION: Assist the Director of Security in providing a safe and secure hotel environment for guests and staff. Analyzing and appraising all available methods, procedures, and devices to upgrade the security and safety of the resort. This person will work with the training and development of the security staff through proper training and onboarding of staff. Investigate and monitor initial security reports. Complete reports accurate and with compassion and privacy for all involved. The Security Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the Security Officers enforce the policy and procedures established for the Security Department as well as for the property. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE High school graduate or equivalent. Previous law enforcement experience desirable. Ability to communicate effectively. Minimum six months’ experience as a Security Officer. Ability to work with guests to resolve complaints in a positive manner. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for all interior and exterior security of the property during respective shifts. Will personally inspect and report to the Director of Security or Security Manage discrepancies that need attention to ensure the safety and security of the property, staff, and guests. Will oversee incidents involving guests and employees. Provide guidance and direction for the Security Officers. Address complaints from guests in person. Review written reports and activity summaries of Security Officers for completeness and accuracy. Provide directions to assigned shifts by assisting with calls for service. Evaluate Security Officers’ work performance. Provide the Director or Manager with pertinent information regarding major incidents occurring during shift. Monitoring and follow-up of lost and found Serve as escort to various departments dealing with cash for safe transport of company assets. Work with other departments to identify potentially unsafe work practices. Develop resolutions to safety issues in a timely manner. MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: Conduct periodic training exercises for security officers as needed or as deemed necessary by Director Manager. When assigned, will be in charge in the absence of the Director or Manager. ENVIRONMENT: Walking the grounds, possibly in adverse weather conditions, including snow, wind, ice, and freezing conditions. Office environment with overhead lights, comfortable ventilation. Constant Employee contact as well as occasional guest contact. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $16.00/Yr. - $17.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
