Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Security Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to survey, design, and draw electronic security systems used in protecting the warfighter. 

What You'll Be Doing:

Design, create, and modify ESS designs from initial concept to release for construction (RFC)Interpret specifications and requirements, and prepare requests for information (RFIs) when neededRead and interpret blueprints and system wiring schematicsAssist project manager in planning and scheduling work packagesWork closely with Engineers and the Project Management team to modify or change designs as neededModify, update, and prepare red-line & As-Built drawing setsProvide project status/updates to the respective project manager and team leaderUtilize controlled documentation and government standards, application guides, and industry best practices to complete onsite installations at various locations, worldwideApply existing knowledge base to rapidly obtain proficiency on newly developed components and systemsLeverage manufacturer’s literature and technical support to quickly develop a finished product.

Additional development and responsibilities may include

•      Install, program, troubleshoot, and test electronic security system components such as:

Input-Output devicesLayered Network switchesRF network systemsBattery Backup systemsCommand, control, and display equipmentIntrusion Detection Systems (IDS) (e.g., Bosch, Hirsch, Vindicator, LPE, Lenel, Genetec)Access control and credentialing systems (e.g., Genetec, Lenel, AMAG, Vindicator, Software houseCCTV cameras and video management servers (e.g., Genetec, Bosch, Vindicator)Sensors, such as motion detectors (PIR), balanced magnetic switches (BMS), vibration detectors, buried line sensors (BLS), fiber optic sensor systems (FOSS), and RADAR/microwaves

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Ability to logically and objectively analyze problems, apply sound judgment in assessing possible solutions, adjust to changing priorities, and meet tight deadlinesAbility to multitask, while maintaining attention to detailAbility to effectively delegate tasks and follow - up on their completion to ensure all deadlines are metEffective written and oral communication skills, and ability to present technical findings in a clear and concise manner to non-technical personnelKnowledge and hands-on familiarity of computer systems, computer security, and familiarity with operating systems, hardware platforms, and networks; andAbility to read, interpret and create electrical and electromechanical schematics and architectural drawings, including electrical /mechanical building systems drawings


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

CCNA, or CompTIA Security+ recommendedAutoCAD a plusVendor Specific Certification preferred (e.g., Intrusion Detection, CCTV or Access Control Systems)

Secret

Salary Range: 

$83,300.00 - $145,800.00
